Getting to Know the Lookah Bear

The Lookah Bear is a compact rechargeable battery designed for compatible 510-thread cartridges. Instead of another anonymous metal rectangle or stick, Lookah wrapped the hardware in a playful bear-shaped silicone body.

Operation remains straightforward. A single power button controls the battery, including power, preheat, voltage selection and manual activation while vaping.

The internal 500mAh battery provides portable power, while three preset voltage levels let you adjust heat output according to the cartridge and your preferred vapor intensity.

Nearly everything is controlled by the Bear's single power button. Fortunately, you do not need a degree in bear psychology to operate it.

How to Install a 510 Cartridge

1. Make sure the Lookah Bear is powered off before installing or removing a cartridge.
2. Inspect the 510 connection and cartridge threads. Both should be clean, dry and free of oil or debris.
3. Position the cartridge directly over the threaded connection on top of the Bear's head.
4. Turn the cartridge clockwise until it is gently seated.
5. Stop tightening once the cartridge makes contact. There is no need to crank it down like a lug nut.

Press the power button five times rapidly to turn the battery on.

Repeat the same five-click sequence to turn it off.

How to Use Lookah Bear Preheat Mode

Preheat warms the cartridge before vaping. This can be useful when oil is thick, cold or causing restricted airflow.

1. Make sure the battery is turned on.
2. Press the power button two times quickly.
3. Allow the automatic preheat cycle to run.
4. To stop preheat before the cycle finishes, press the power button one time.
5. After preheating, take a slow draw using the normal press-and-hold activation method.

When Should You Use Preheat?

• When a cartridge has been stored somewhere cold
• When the oil is particularly thick
• When airflow feels partially restricted
• When the first draw produces very little vapor
• When a cartridge seems slightly clogged

How to Vape with the Lookah Bear

1. Attach a compatible 510-thread cartridge.
2. Press the power button five times quickly to turn the battery on.
3. Press three times to select your preferred voltage.
4. Use preheat with two clicks when the cartridge needs warming.
5. Place the cartridge mouthpiece comfortably between your lips.
6. Press and hold the power button while inhaling.
7. Release the button shortly before finishing the draw.
8. Allow the cartridge to rest briefly between draws.

How to Charge the Lookah Bear

The Bear contains a 500mAh rechargeable battery and charges through its USB Type-C port.

1. Stop using the device when the battery is low.
2. Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the side of the Bear.
3. Insert a compatible USB-C charging cable.
4. Connect the other end to a suitable USB power source.
5. Allow the battery to charge completely.
6. Disconnect the charging cable when charging is finished.

Battery Level Indicator

The Lookah Bear includes a multi-level LED battery indicator on the rear of the device. The LEDs provide a quick visual indication of remaining battery capacity.

As battery charge decreases, fewer indicator lights remain illuminated. Recharge the Bear when the display indicates low remaining capacity.

Cleaning the Lookah Bear

Oil residue around the cartridge connection can interfere with electrical contact, so occasional cleaning is worthwhile.

1. Turn the battery off.
2. Unscrew and remove the cartridge.
3. Use a dry cotton swab to wipe the 510 connection and surrounding surface.
4. For stubborn oil residue, lightly dampen the cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol.
5. Allow the connection to dry completely before reinstalling a cartridge.
